I wanted to share a story with you. On Sunday night I was making dinner for the family. My daughter was helping me and we were making hamburgers. When I am making dinner I often rely on frozen foods to provide side dishes, however we did not have any frozen French fries. My nine year old daughter suggested that we make French fries "the way mom would" using potatoes. I love any activities that my kids participate in so we decided to give it a try. The only challenge was the time that cooking the potatoes (cut into fries) would take cooking them in the oven.

Dinner 911 came to the rescue! Using the advice I received from your site, I put the cut fries in the microwave prior to baking them in the oven. The fries turned out great, and we enjoyed homemade fries with our dinner without having to postpone dinner.
