For this recipe, is the chicken pre-cooked before it is added to this recipe? If so, how do I cook it? Using oil to brown it, or boiling it?

Hi Rose! Either way is fine. A one hour cooking time leaves plenty of time for raw chicken to be cooked properly, but leftover, already cooked, chicken is fine too. If that is the case, you are just watching for the rest of the dish to be cooked and set, and you may decrease your cooking time by about 15 minutes.
